Cornhole game, also known as bean bag toss is a backyard lawn game where the task is to throw bean bags into a board with a 6 inch diameter hole cut into it. The game includes up to 4 players who take turns tossing the bags. Each cornhole board is made of plywood that gives the durability needed for longevity. If the cornhole bags land on the board, it is considered 1 point. If the cornhole bag lands on the board and slides into the hole, it is worth 3 points. The cornhole game will continue until a team reaches 21 points.

When the game starts, one person from each team stands apart from each other. Each player on one side alternates shots until all 8 bags are thrown. The points are tallied up and subtracted from each other, giving the team with the higher point total the score. The cornhole game then shifts to the other side where the other two players take turns tossing the bean bags.

The game can be much more enjoyable when you make your own custom set of boards and bags. There are many instructions out there on how to make your own cornhole bags as well as how to make your own cornhole boards. For cornhole bags, they should be made of duck cloth, measure 6¿x6¿, and be filled with kernel corn up to 14-16 ounces. We recommend at least using double stitching so you can use the game bags more then a couple times.

Along with cornhole bags, you can also add to the game with some customer cornhole boards. First follow instructions on making the boards and then work on customizing them with paint to support your favorite team. There are many variations you can use to make your style, but the equipment will always be the same for this game.

If you want to spruce up the game and even play at night, check out getting some cornhole lights. These lights go under the cornhole boards and will illuminate the boards for night game play. Other than lights, you can also enjoy the game with some accessories like tote bags, score towers, or trophies.

Either way, before you play the game of cornhole, go online and read the rules of cornhole. There aren¿t many, but it would be good to get familiarized with the bags, boards, tossing strategies, length of the field, etc... The more you know, the more fun the game will become.

Happy Cornholing
